One Venue. Endless Possibilities: Corporate Holiday Parties at Slate NY

Jan 20, 2026 | Holiday Party

Throughout December, Slate transformed again and again—proving just how customizable and versatile the space can be for large-scale private and corporate events.

From Casino Nights to 80s-themed celebrations and live-band holiday parties, Slate hosted a wide range of year-end events, each tailored to the host’s vision.

With guest counts ranging from 100 to 300 attendees, multiple events spanned the entire month and utilized Slate’s full footprint. Slate promised and delivered beyond expectations.

We can’t name names for this one (we respect our clients and guests privacy), but we’ve got their permission to share why this December was so special.

A Memorable End to the Year

Demonstrating how the venue can flex to accommodate different formats, vibes, and entertainment styles—sometimes night after night. What was so fun about these events was the variety of installations and totally different vibes the nights achieved.

Memorable? Absolutely. Guests shared that this was, by far, the best year-end holiday party they had ever attended—some saying it topped celebrations from more than 20 years of corporate experience.

The real surprise? Many of these events began as nothing more than a “maybe” or a rough whiteboard idea, until the right venue proved it could become exactly what the hosts envisioned.

Casino Night Unlike Any Other

The Casino night this past December at Slate was something different. We brought in craps tables, roulette, Texas Hold’em, and blackjack, to name a few. It’s easy to mingle when you’re sitting next to your team and doubling down on the turn, or calling your boss’s raise with a raise of your own, or collectively putting it all on black.

Casino night showcased that Slate is more than just an event space or club; it is a completely customizable venue ready to be as extravagant or low-key as you envision.

These installations went beyond the large-sized games already a part of every Slate event or night out. Giant Jenga and Giant UNO were fun, but when paired with real casino games like Blackjack or Craps, there was some good competition for all to be had.

A Blank Canvas for Any Concept

Why Slate? For large-group parties of this kind, corporate management has few options in NYC. Usually, if they find a venue that can handle 300+ guests, the venue is quite rigid about the allotted installation designs, available themes, and limits client input. Roadblocks of this kind are not conducive to a creative, unique event. That is the beauty of Slate and this past December’s events—it was how differently each group brought the space to life.

Casino Night activations

Turned Slate into a high-energy gaming lounge, complete with table games, elevated décor, and a polished corporate-meets-Vegas atmosphere.

80s-themed parties

Slate leaned into bold colors, throwback music, and immersive styling that completely reimagined the venue’s look and feel. Polaroid cameras were a major hit.

Live music events

showcased Slate’s ability to serve as a full-scale music venue, delivering concert-level energy with great sound while still providing space for corporate networking and socializing.
Each night was entirely its own party. If you attended more than one, you would have been shocked to learn it was the same venue. Clients came to Slate with a unique vision for a company holiday party, and Slate delivered.

Built for Corporate, Holiday & Year-End Events

December is one of the most intense months for corporate events. Luckily, Slate thrives under the pressure of planning, building, and executing at a high level. What makes Slate’s vast footprint and aesthetic different? We let you decide how your night should go.

We’re happy to provide input if you’re at a loss for a fun idea for the night, but the point is to get creative. Employees, executives, and other staff work hard all year, and having another “boring holiday party” does a disservice to their efforts and to your company. Here are some of the reasons Slate is built for the best events:

  • Multiple room configurations
  • Custom entertainment and activations
  • Flexible layouts for mingling, dining, and dancing
  • Professional production and sound capabilities
  • A seasoned events team ready to execute at scale

Slate’s team works closely with hosts to ensure every detail aligns with the host’s brand, culture, and goals. They had an idea, wildly different from a standard holiday event, and that kept it fun for Slate and all guests. But could it be done? Within budget? On Short notice? You bet.

Your Vision is Our Mission

Corporate culture differs from one company to the next. The key takeaway from December’s extensive and varied lineup is simple: Slate doesn’t force events into a stock one-size-fits-all template. Instead, it adapts—becoming whatever the host needs it to be.

Planning a polished corporate casino night, a high-energy themed party, a live-music-driven celebration, or something completely different and off the radar? We’re ready. The space is one-of-a-kind, the team is experienced, and the possibilities are wide open, so get creative.

If you can imagine it, Slate can bring it to life.
